About Jim Henry

For four years Jim Henry, one of the industry's most respected teachers, battled cancer tooth and nail before succumbing to it March 1, 2002 at the age of 58. Jim taught courses and wrote manuals up until a few months before his death.

After a successful career with Duraclean, he founded J. Henry and Company. This allowed him to do what he most wanted to do --- train cleaning/restoration technicians, write manuals, design courses and serve as a business consultant.

Jim constantly gave of himself to the industry and its people. He served as president and board member of the National Carpet & Fabricare Institute, played an active role in the IICRC and was sought after as a speaker by industry associations.
